On January 18th, Piaf emailed me inquiring about a maternity session in the next few weeks. She was 30 weeks along. We talked back and forth to plan the perfect session for them.
She gave me a few location ideas that had meaning to them, one of those locations was Citadel Hill. I was so excited, I knew it wouldn’t be busy this time of the year and it is an incredible backdrop of the city along with the historical site itself.
Last Saturday we finally got to do our session after rescheduling due to rain the week before. We couldn’t have honestly picked a better day. It was a cloudy day (which makes for incredible images) with snow lightly falling.
Erik & Piaf are expecting their baby boy in March and you can see in the photos how excited they are.
Maternity is one of my favorite types of sessions to photograph. I love to capture the love and joy between the expecting parents. Pregnancy is beautiful and these photographs will be cherished forever.
Erik & Piaf were naturals in front of my lens, they loved all of my ideas/poses and were up for anything. They braved the cold and it was very much worth it.
Enjoy their gallery of images, all photographed at Citadel Hill.
